How To Support Your Energy Levels With The Original Cleanse
Although we may all dream of being the energizer bunny, the way he keeps on going and going and going… It’s simply far from reality and unsustainable. Or is it?
Is it possible to create a sustainable state of high energy that supports us through life?
If you feel like you are the leader of the exhaustion epidemic, welcome to the huge worldwide club!
Billions of people around the world simply feel exhausted in their daily existence, and it’s difficult for them to really be their best self and live their life to the fullest on a daily basis.
Why is this happening? Especially in today’s day and age with all of the modern advancements in medicine? Is there a way to harness the energy that is always in existence?
Natural Laws of Energy
Isn’t it a natural law of life? In chemistry, the Law of Conservation of Energy states, “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed or transferred.”
So how do we connect to the energy of life, so that we can FEEL BETTER?
The answer doesn’t lie solely in modern medicine.
Modern medicine and nutritional science are absolute keys, but there is a door that we must open up and walk through in order to achieve our dreams.
It lies in the traditions of days gone by, of practices as old as humanity itself. Practices that have been kept secret from the majority, reserved only for the few; the kings and queens, emperors and empresses, rulers of lands, the aristocracy.
The Original Cleanse
And then there is the secret. The one that I alluded to earlier. The Original Cleanse. A combination of two traditional treatments that have been practiced for centuries involving the legendary castor oil. They are simply yet effective, and now easier than ever with these tools – the Queen of the Thrones™ Castor Oil Pack Bundle and Beauty Sleep Eye Kit. Here you will learn how combining the castor oil pack practice and a nightly castor oil eye ritual can help take your energy from Debbie Downer to Energizer Bunny!
The Legendary Castor Oil Pack
This practice has been used for centuries by cultures all around the world, from Indian Ayurveda to Ancient Egypt to Traditional Chinese Medicine. They were used by prominent historical men of medicine, Hippocrates and Galen1.
Castor oil packs support the five pillars of what can create or destroy our health.
These five pillars are:
1. Function of our digestion, absorption and elimination
When we don’t digest or absorb well, how can we bring in the elements that give us life? And when we don’t eliminate, the garbage that we don’t need anymore sits in our bodies for too long, causing inflammation, stress and dysbiosis. It uses up our already low reserves of antioxidants.
Castor oil packs have been studied in old-age homes as an alternative treatment to conventional laxatives for constipation and found to be effective2. The active component of castor oil, ricinoleic acid, has also been shown to improve the smooth muscle function of the digestive tract3, leading to improved absorption and elimination.
2. Antioxidant levels
Antioxidants are nutrients that stop us from aging and protect us from disease. Perhaps our most important antioxidant, glutathione, is involved in phase I and phase II detoxification in the liver and is responsible for getting rid of everything from heavy metals to drugs to chemicals. In a study on the lenses of rats, castor oil was found to be effective at preserving levels of glutathione, even more so than a glutathione solution was4.
Castor oil is also a topical source of vitamin E and polyphenols which are anti-aging and nourishing for the skin. It also stimulates nitric oxide production5, which improves circulation and vasodilation. When the function of our digestion, absorption and elimination is optimized by castor oil packs, we are able to better absorb antioxidants from our food so that we can cleanse better, age gracefully, and be more energized.
3. Inflammation & Immune Function
Inflammation is known as the ‘silent killer’ and is an underlying component of almost all disease. Inflammation drains our vital energy source as our body is in a constant state trying to repair itself. You know that belly bloat that never seems to go away? Core inflammation is often the problem.
Castor oil has been studied in comparison to the popular natural anti-inflammatory capsaicin (from cayenne pepper) and found to be very effective6. Castor oil is a better choice as a topical anti-inflammatory due to the lack of rubefacient effect (as observed with capsaicin). It helps to regulate the inflammatory response via reduction of substance P (a mediator of pain in the body) resulting in pain reduction.
Castor oil packs have also been shown to have a beneficial effect on the immune system through increasing the number of T-11 lymphocytes7.
4. Tension and Stress
We all know that tension and stress are not good for the body. Stress aggravates disease, fuels inflammation, throws hormones out of balance, depletes energy and negatively impacts the digestive, immune and nervous systems8 9. It’s important to minimize stress in the body as much as possible, which can be done through meditation, connection with nature, deep breathing, and you guessed it – castor oil packs!
The soft compression of the organic cotton compress on the skin stimulates sensory receptors connected to the parasympathetic ganglion, similar to when we are given a hug10, which helps to move the body from the sympathetic stressed-out state to the relaxed parasympathetic state. This soft compression also triggers the release of oxytocin11, our love and connection hormone, and dopamine12, another feel-good hormone.
Any little bit of stress reduction counts, and preparing a castor oil pack takes less than 2 minutes before bed! Plus, doing them in the evening and getting into the relaxed state sets you up for a deep sleep so you wake feeling well-rested.
5. Host Bacterial Kingdom - the Microbiome
We are host to trillions of bacteria, both health-promoting and disease-promoting. This community of bacteria is our microbiome, and the balance of our microbiome has direct effects on our energy levels13.
Some disease-promoting bacteria in our gut have the ability to create a sticky, protective layer known as biofilm to stop us from killing them. It can be difficult to get rid of biofilms, but castor oil is one of the only natural substances with the ability to break it down. Research in periodontal medicine has found it to be effective in vivo as a denture cleaner14 15 16.
Castor oil’s nitric oxide promoting effect17 also makes it an anti-Candida agent18, as nitric oxide has been shown to combat Candida19. A healthy microbiome further supports function of digestion, absorption and elimination.
Castor Oil Packs Restore FAITH
When you put the first letter of these five pillars together, they spell out the word FAITH. Castor oil packs are an easy at-home practice that anyone can do and they help us to regain faith in our body’s ability to heal through supporting these key foundations of health. The only exception is during pregnancy, because the oral consumption of castor oil may cause uterine contractions therefore we caution the use of the packs in this case.
You see, your body is simply one great big messy situation!
Castor oil packs essentially help you:
- Poop better
- Sleep better
- Cleanse Better
- Bloat Less
- Stress less
Even more important, it helps you to regain FAITH in your body’s ability to have exponential energy! Yes you can… it just takes practice!
Beauty Sleep Eye Ritual
Now the second part of The Original Cleanse is very important as it helps you look better, sleep better and feel better. Before bed, you simply apply castor oil to eyelashes and eyebrows with the double ended applicator brush included in the Beauty Sleep Eye Kit, then dab remaining oil around the eyes. This stimulates circulation to the hair follicles improving length and thickness of lashes and brows, and the anti-inflammatory and emollient properties of the oil nourish the delicate skin around the eyes, reducing fine lines, dark circles and wrinkles.
Next, you place the organic cotton eye mask over your eyes before bed. Wearing an eye mask to sleep helps regulate melatonin production20 – our body’s sleep-regulation hormone. Melatonin is also a powerful antioxidant and has anticancer properties21. Good quality sleep is absolutely essential for energy and this is one of the simplest and effective ways of supporting it.
Flow of Energy
Remember, physics has taught us that energy is moved via a sine wave. It has a natural ebb and flow, like the waves in the ocean. To properly nurture a HEALTHY sine wave, we require periods of energy and periods of regenerative rest. Castor oil packs support these natural rhythms and help to regulate them.
Perhaps the most important benefit of the packs is balancing of the tension and stress response, allowing you to practice the ‘pause’, your parasympathetic engagement. It is in this state that you can heal, build your energy reserves, and overall, feel better!
The SIDE BONUS of impelling these packs is everything that you are currently doing to support your health, from eating a nutritive diet, meditating, or taking supplements; will work better and faster. Who doesn’t want that?
So you see, there is a formula to becoming more like the Energizer Bunny… It’s a combination of the best of both worlds – modern science and ancient wisdom!
